I managed to get into The Zone today, something that's pretty difficult around here. The query engine is rewritten to support the AttSearchEngine with the exception that negative searching (e.g., keywords != fluffy) is not there yet. The constrainBy parameter is not there yet either. The formatter is rewritten and should benefit greatly when sorting large result sets by something other than score. To preserve our current ranking behavior (i.e., ranking is not lost when an item is reindexed) I wrote methods.list_wholetext.getRanking and methods.list_wholetext.getRanking.
